The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity. He is at work in the world, is intimately
involved in the life of the Church, and indwells the individual believer (1Corinthains
6:19). He sanctifies (Gal 5:22-23), empowers, and equips (Ephesians
4:11, 1Corithieans 12:4-11,
Romans 12:6-8, 1Peter 4:11). We encounter the Holy Spirit in many ways
in life, even in times when we are not aware.
It is the Holy Spirit who nudges us into faith and belief, and then
takes us far beyond that into a Life in Christ. Baptism is the
Sacrament of the Holy Spirit setting our feet upon the path that leads eternally
to the throne room of God. We know it
is truly the Holy Spirit speaking and acting when it is in accordance Holy Scripture.
